Giddy Up Go

Giddy Up Go are playing Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden on Sunday, July 19, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. If you've never caught them, they're an Austin-based trio that blends honky-tonk, rockabilly, classic country, and early rock 'n' roll into a dance-friendly show. They call themselves the 'happiest trio in Texas,' and they're a regular fixture on the Central Texas roots music scene, playing dance halls, neighborhood honky-tonks, and rockabilly festivals. Their setlists usually mix traditional country, western swing, rockabilly favorites, and vintage rock 'n' roll, so it's the kind of music that works as well for dancing as it does for just hanging out.

Banger's has been a cornerstone of the Rainey Street District since 2012. Over the years it's grown into a sprawling culinary compound with an expansive outdoor patio, a smokehouse, and in-house sausage production. There are more than 200 draft beer taps on site, and local and touring musicians play the outdoor stage throughout the week. Giddy Up Go will be taking that stage for this Sunday morning slot.

Since it's a Sunday, there's one specific drink to know about: the manmosa. It's a whole bottle of champagne served in a huge mug with a splash of orange juice, and it's only available on Sundays. Between that and the beer list, you've got plenty of options to pair with the music. The show runs from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden, 79 Rainey St, in downtown Austin.
