Two-day anniversary celebration with pumpkin patch, arts and crafts market, music, food, drinks, and live glassblowing.
Ghost Pepper Glass is turning eight, and they're celebrating with a two-day party at their studio in North Austin. It's a milestone that goes back to when they first opened their glassblowing workshops, and the studio has grown since then from that first cohort of students into a wider community of makers, collectors, and renters. The celebration takes place on Saturday, October 17, from 1 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday, October 18, from 1 PM to 6 PM.
The party spreads across both days at the studio itself. The annual Pumpkin Patch returns, with both real pumpkins and glass ones for sale. There's an arts and crafts market, music, food, and drinks, and a costume contest. The main draw is the live glassblowing coming straight from the hot shop, so you can watch the process in person rather than just seeing the finished pieces. It's an open-house kind of affair—everyone is welcome.
