Showcase of locally developed games and works-in-progress in the queer spirit at Howson Branch Library.
Games Y'all is hosting a Pride edition at the Howson Branch Library on Friday, August 21, from 7 PM to 10 PM. The night is a showcase of locally developed games and works-in-progress in the queer spirit, with plenty of titles to play and a good deal of schmoozing to keep the creativity flowing. It's a chance to get a first look at what Austin's indie game makers have been working on and to connect with the local scene.
Games Y'all is an Austin meetup that brings together the city's game creators, gay creators, and those who inhabit the middle of that Venn diagram. This particular gathering is tagged Queer and Community, and the Austin Chronicle marked it as a Staff Pick. The focus is on the work coming out of the city, so you'll find games developed right here in Austin, many of them still in progress, which means you're seeing them before they're finished.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Between the games, there's plenty of room to hang out and talk shop with the people behind them. If you've been following the local indie scene, it's a good spot to catch up with familiar faces; if you're new to it, it's a straightforward way to get plugged in. The whole thing runs from 7 PM to 10 PM at the Howson Branch Library, 2500 Exposition Blvd, Austin, TX 78703.
