A free family celebration with dance, adaptive sports, and activities for children of all abilities, presented by Variety Texas.
Variety Texas is hosting Activate Inclusion Day at Austin Stone Church on Saturday, July 25, from 9 AM to 1 PM. It's a free family celebration built for children of all abilities, and the organizers encourage siblings, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends to come along. The whole day is framed as a space where every child can play, participate, and belong.
The morning centers on a live interactive dance party with Tío Tóto, which is bilingual, so it works whether your kids speak English, Spanish, or both. Around that, there's a spread of adaptive sports and activities: adaptive soccer, basketball, and improv, face painting, lawn games, and free sno-cones. There's also an instrument petting zoo for kids to try out different instruments and a sensory-friendly space for anyone who needs a quieter spot to reset. Every child walks away with a free Variety Texas One Ball for All soccer ball.
Variety Texas presents the day as part of its One Ball for All initiative, which is why every child gets a ball to take home. To keep things accessible, the event includes ASL interpretation and accessible facilities. It's designed so that children of all abilities can be in the same space, playing and hanging out together.
