A hands-on workshop led by Rally Cat Floral covering design fundamentals, structure and colour, with all supplies and flowers included.
Rally Cat Floral is hosting a flower arranging workshop at Maybe A Pop-Up Shop on Thursday, July 30, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. It's a two-hour session where you'll design a dynamic floral arrangement from scratch, and the whole thing is led by Rally Cat Floral.
The class is open to both beginners and seasoned florists, so you don't need any prior experience to jump in. You'll start with the design fundamentals—the basics of shape, structure, and color—and work your way through the actual arranging. A good part of the focus is on seasonal and local flowers, so you're working with what's fresh and nearby rather than something shipped in from far away. Along the way, you'll learn about sustainable mechanics—the ways to hold a bouquet together without relying on floral foam or other non-biodegradable materials—and general floral care to keep your arrangement lasting as long as possible.
One of the best parts is that you don't have to bring a thing: all the supplies and flowers are included in the price. Drinks and snacks are served throughout the evening, and when the session wraps, you take home the arrangement you made along with the vase it's in. You'll also walk away with tips for continuing to design on your own at home, so the skills stick around after the class is over.
