Indie/alternative rock band Flight by Nothing makes their debut at Austin City Music Festival Weekend 1, on the Beatbox Stage.
Flight by Nothing are playing Zilker Park on Sunday, October 4, as part of the first weekend of the Austin City Music Festival. They're billed for the Beatbox Stage, and it's their debut at the festival.
They're an Austin-based indie rock band, and they describe their sound as a mix of indie pop, alternative, and indie rock—they also use the word "groovy" to describe it. If you've caught them around town, that's the general territory they work in: indie rock with a pop lean and a bit of a groove to it. This is a local band playing on a local stage, so it's a home-city set for them.
They're touring this fall, so this festival date fits into a larger run of shows. If you've been following them, you know they've been playing out around the city, and this is their first time bringing that set to the ACMF lineup. They'll be playing the Beatbox Stage, one of the smaller stages on the Zilker grounds, which usually means you're closer to the stage than you would be at the main ones.
