Febuary

Febuary play Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater on Saturday, October 17, with Basement, Big Boy, and Momma opening. It's a four-band bill, and Febuary takes the top spot.

If you haven't come across them yet, Febuary is a female-fronted screamo band from Las Vegas. They formed in April 2023, so they're still relatively new, and they've built their name on a raw, unfiltered intensity that pairs piercing emotion with chaotic energy. Their sound pulls from a wide spread of styles—screamo, post-hardcore, punk, hardcore punk, emo, math rock, and the new wave of screamo. It's a lot to fit into one set, and that's exactly the point: the music moves between those different corners of the underground rather than sticking to one.

They released their debut LP, February, in April 2024, so they've got a full record behind them now. That's the material they'll be drawing from for the night, and it's the same sound they've been playing since they started in Vegas—the kind of music that doesn't hold back on the loud or the heavy. The opening acts, Basement, Big Boy, and Momma, will set the stage before Febuary closes things out.
