Punk rock band Fea performs at Punk Rock Mansion in Austin, with support from Boof and War Bride.
Fea play Punk Rock Mansion on Tuesday, November 10, with Boof and War Bride opening. It's part of a Texas run that takes them through San Antonio, Denton, Houston, Corpus Christi, and Harlingen.
Fea are a San Antonio punk band that formed in 2015 out of the ashes of their previous project, Girl in a Coma. Their self-titled 2016 debut was co-produced by Chicana punk legend Alice Bag, with contributions from Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace and Babes in Toyland's Lori Barbero. That record caught the attention of Iggy Pop, who praised them in Rolling Stone, and the Village Voice named "No Hablo Espanol" one of the year's best protest songs. Their sophomore album, No Novelties, was also produced by Alice Bag and recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas. They've toured with Against Me!, Babes in Toyland, and Agent Orange, and NPR called them "Latina punk at its finest."
