A low-stakes creative art activity where attendees assemble pieces of paper with tape and glue; all materials are provided.
Explore Creative Collage is happening at Hotel Ella on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's a low-stakes creative art activity where you make a collage by assembling pieces of paper with tape and glue. All the materials are provided, so you just have to show up and start putting things together.
Hotel Ella is a stylish boutique hotel close to the heart of downtown Austin and within walking distance of the University of Texas campus. It occupies the historic Goodall Wooten House, one of the city's original landmark estates: a Greek revival mansion built in 1900 that underwent an extensive renovation in 2013. Now it has 47 guest rooms, a cabana-lined pool, and a wrap-around veranda. The venue regularly hosts creative programming, like the Soularis series of workshops, and this session fits right into that.

As for the activity itself, it's pitched as a low-stakes creative exploration. You'll be working with pieces of paper, tape, and glue to build your collage, and since the materials are all there, you don't need to bring anything with you. It's the kind of thing you can just dive into without worrying about having a plan or any particular skill level. The session runs from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 29, at Hotel Ella.
