Contemporary blues concert by Eric Heideman at Güero's Taco Bar.
Eric Heideman plays Güero's Taco Bar on Saturday, October 10, at 2:30 PM. It's a contemporary blues set from a musician who's spent the last few years working his way through the blues circuit on both sides of the country.
Heideman is 27 and lives here in Austin, though he's originally from Salt Lake City. He recorded his album Third Degree Gravity at Fat Rabbit Studios in New Jersey with producers Victor Wainwright and JW-Jones. Since then, he's played a fair number of stages: he was personally asked to open for ZZ Top at the Eccles Theatre and for Walter Trout at The State Room, and he's appeared at the Utah Blues Fest in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also played SXSW 2025 and the 2025 Durango Blues Train.
Along the way, he's traded riffs with a long list of names from the blues scene—Nick Moss, Thornetta Davis, Vanessa Collier, Albert Castiglia, Tony Holiday, Laura Chavez, and Sugaray Rayford. That's a lot of ground covered for a musician in his twenties, and this show is a chance to hear him hold the stage on his own.
