He's one of Austin's jazz trumpet icons, a backline mainstay who has played with everyone from the Tedeschi Trucks Band to local legends. His playing is described as short, sharp, and full of soul, and he took home Best Jazz at the Austin Music Awards. This is his own group leading the night, so you'll hear him out front rather than in the section.

The Elephant Room is an iconic basement club on Congress Avenue that's been filled with Chicago, Kansas City, and New York-style jazz since 1991.
