End of Summer Book Club: Book #3 Costume Party!(Cancelled)

The Concord hosts the End of Summer Book Club: Book #3 Costume Party! on Thursday, August 27, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's the finale of a two-part summer book club that spent the season working through J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, which the group describes as a tale of adventure, magical lands, and plenty of action. The first meeting left readers listing the title; this third session is where they finally wrap it up.

The evening is set up as a costume party, so the conversation about the book's end runs alongside a costume contest. If you've been following along with the reading list, this is the night to show up as your favorite character and talk through the ending with everyone else. Snacks and infusions are served throughout the night, and the whole thing is run by Events on Purpose ATX.

If you haven't been part of the club since the start, you can still come for the party and the discussion. The book itself is The Hobbit, and the gathering is the closing act for the summer reading list.
