A tribute show celebrating the music of Elvis Costello and marking the ninth anniversary of The Musician Treatment Foundation, featuring performances by MTF-assisted musicians and a charity auction.
Antone's is hosting an Elvis Costello Tribute Show on Sunday, September 6, starting at 6 PM. It's a benefit for the Musician Treatment Foundation (MTF), the charity Costello founded and has performed for at its benefits. The night celebrates his music and marks the foundation's ninth anniversary.
The lineup brings together musicians from two different worlds. Performing are Allan Mayes, Barbara Nesbitt, Hilary York, Nick Adamo, Phil Hurley, and Robert Kraft—all musicians who have received assistance from MTF. They'll be joined by Austin artists Kyle Albrecht, GR Chiappe, Matt Hubbard, and Danny Piccuirro. Sun Radio's Kevin Connor is hosting the evening.
There's a bit of history behind the cause. Since autumn 2017, MTF has helped hundreds of musicians access upper-limb orthopedic care, with the value of the treatment provided exceeding $4 million. The show is a benefit for the foundation, and an auction will run throughout the night with items including pieces signed by Elvis Costello. All proceeds go to MTF.
