Earthquake

Earthquake is playing Cap City Comedy Club over three nights this November, starting Friday, November 20. If you know him by his stage name, you might also know him as Nathaniel Stroman, a Washington D.C. native now living in Los Angeles who's been selling out rooms for nearly 30 years. He's a comedian, actor, voice artist, and radio personality, and this is a stand-up special.

Earthquake first made his mark on the comedy circuit in the 1990s with appearances on BET's Comic View, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Laffapalooza, and Shaq's All-Star Comedy Jam. He followed that with a string of Showtime specials: About Got Damm Time, From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse, and These Ain't Jokes. Most people recognize him as Uncle Mike on the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, and he's since appeared in In the Cut, Rel, South Side, The Neighborhood, and Johnson, as well as films like Barnyard, Clerks II, and The Longshots.

Beyond the screen, he hosts the radio show Quake's House on Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud Network. His Netflix special, Chappelle's Home Team - Earthquake: Legendary, was called the funniest comedy special of its year by the New York Times.

He's playing three shows in a row at Cap City: Friday, November 20, Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22. The Friday and Saturday shows both start at 9:30 PM, and the Sunday show is earlier, at 7 PM.
