Earth Tongue at Levitation 2026

Earth Tongue play The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Sunday, September 14, at 4:30 PM. They're a heavy psych duo from New Zealand, now based in Berlin, and this is part of Levitation, the four-day festival that traces back to The Black Angels and founder Rob Fitzpatrick, who's kept the lineups deep and eclectic year after year. The festival's year-round clubhouse, The 13th Floor, is co-owned by Black Angels guitarist Jake Garcia and business partner Nick Yaklin.

Earth Tongue have three full-length albums under their belt, including this year's Dungeon Vision on In The Red Records. The way they pull off their sound is a bit of a trick: guitarist and vocalist Gussie Larkin splits her signal to fake a bass line, which gives the two-piece the low end of a much bigger band. It's a heavy psych set, so expect the loud, distorted, psychedelic side of things rather than something polite.
