Francis describes his work as more than just writing songs; he talks about creating worlds. The music is rooted in folk and rock but doesn't stay in one place, drifting through shadowy dreamscapes, desert highways, and backwoods silence. He was raised in the Northeast and spent time in El Paso, Missouri, and Appalachia before landing in Austin, where he now bases the project. The band chases the feeling that made rock & roll matter in the first place, writing guitar-driven songs that blur the lines between rock, country, blues, soul, and Americana without sounding like a throwback act.

Their shows are loud, loose, and live, with no backing tracks. That means what you hear on stage is what the band is actually playing in the room. It's a guitar-heavy sound that pulls from a few different traditions at once, and they play it straight through without the safety net of a recording running in the background.

Francis has two albums out now. His debut, The Wanderer, came out in 2025 and has been described as playing like a midnight postcard, with analog warmth, raw edges, and lyrics that linger. His sophomore record, The State of Things, followed in February 2026, so there's a fair amount of material to draw from for a full set.
