Dolly Parton Trivia

The High Club is hosting Dolly Parton Trivia at Oilcan Harry's on Tuesday, September 8, starting at 9 PM. It's a trivia night built around the music and legacy of Dolly Parton, and it's being run by the King of Drag himself, Alexander the Great.

If you've spent any time around the city's drag scene, you know Alexander the Great. He's the one calling the shots for the night, so you can expect the whole thing to be run with his particular energy. The questions will pull from Dolly's long career—the songs, the albums, and the stories that have made her a household name—so it's a good night to bring along anyone who knows their 9 to 5 from their Jolene.

It's a trivia night, so the format is straightforward: you gather a team, put your heads together, and see how much you actually know about the woman at the center of it all. Whether you're a lifelong fan or just someone who appreciates the cultural icon she's become, there's plenty of ground to cover. The music is the main thread, but the legacy—the songwriting, the business, the public life—is all fair game.

One of the best parts is that it's free to play and free to win, so you don't have to put any skin in the game to get in on it. That makes it an easy one to drag a few friends along for. The High Club is presenting, Alexander the Great is hosting, and it all goes down at Oilcan Harry's, 211 West 4th Street, starting at 9 PM on Tuesday, September 8.
