Dive-In Movies: Spooky Edition

Dive-In Movies: Spooky Edition runs every Friday night in October at the Fairmont Austin, with screenings held at the rooftop pool at 101 Red River St. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the movie starts at sundown. It's a poolside movie series set against the Austin skyline, and the lineup is built around Halloween favorites.

There are three films scheduled for the month. On Friday, October 16, it's The Nightmare Before Christmas; on Friday, October 23, Practical Magic; and on Friday, October 30, Hocus Pocus. Fresh popcorn, candy, and other theater favorites are available to buy poolside, and the nights are pitched as a fit for families, friends, or a festive fall date night. If you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, you can add a celebration package, though that needs to be bought at least 48 hours in advance.

General Admission is $25. Deluxe Admission is $30 and includes popcorn and a pool floatie. For groups, a Family Pass is $75 for four guests, and a Deluxe Family Pass is $95 for four guests, which comes with one pool floatie per reservation and a bag of popcorn per party. It's complimentary for hotel guests. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the movie begins at sundown.
