Intimate acoustic concert by Will Taylor and Strings Attached featuring Beatles and Radiohead covers, with optional Reiki sessions and vegan food.
Will Taylor brings his Deep Peace concert to Casa de Luz Village on Sunday, September 27, from 3 PM to 6:30 PM. It's a sound-bath experience for a small room, built around Taylor's own music and acoustic covers of Radiohead, The Beatles, and others, played by string musicians by candlelight. You can bring a yoga mat or a pillow and spend the afternoon resting on the floor; the evening is rounded out with free cacao and tea, poetry, and spiritual quotes.
Taylor has been an Austin music icon for over 20 years, having jammed with Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam, Gary Clark Jr., Shawn Colvin, and the Turtle Island String Quartet. In 2006, he produced a Beatles White Album concert broadcast on the radio that drew more than 1,600 listeners. For this show, he's performing with his ensemble, Strings Attached, and cellist Tony Rogers. The group fuses jazz and classical with contemporary singer-songwriter sensibilities, drawing compositional precision from the classical tradition and the performance ethic of jazz.
