Canadian rapper and singer Dax performs live at The Scoot Inn in Austin, known for his hip-hop and country rap style.
Dax plays The Scoot Inn on Saturday, October 24, with doors opening at 6 PM and the show starting at 7 PM. It's an all-ages bill, so you can bring whoever you want.
If you haven't come across him yet, Dax—born Daniel Nwosu Jr.—is a Canadian rapper and singer from St. John's, Newfoundland. He works across hip-hop, R&B, and country rap, and he's built his name on an intense lyrical delivery and raw storytelling. He's a JUNO nominee who's worked with Tech N9ne and Darius Rucker, and he's got a couple of platinum-certified singles under his belt: "Dear Alcohol" and "Cash Me Outside."
Beyond the singles, his discography includes the albums Pain Paints Paintings and From a Man's Perspective. The two styles he's best known for—the hard-hitting rap and the more melodic R&B—both come through in his live sets, and the country rap side of things adds another layer to the mix. He's the only name on the bill for this one, so he'll be carrying the whole night.
