David Sedaris

David Sedaris is coming to Dell Hall on Wednesday, April 28, 2027, for an evening that's basically a live reading of his work. If you've spent any time with his books, you know how much of the experience is in the delivery—the timing, the pauses, the way he lets a punchline land—so hearing him read his own pieces is a different thing than reading them on the page. He's a bestselling author and humorist, and this is his standard touring format: he takes the stage, reads, and that's the whole show.

It's a straightforward setup. He'll spend the evening reading from his books, and once he's finished, there's a book signing afterward, so you can get a copy signed if you're planning to bring one. If you're already a fan, it's a chance to hear his voice behind the prose; if you've only heard of him by reputation, it's a good place to start.

Dell Hall is part of the Long Center For The Performing Arts, right here in Austin. The show starts at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2027, with the reading followed by the signing.
