Country duo Darlin' make their first Texas show appearance at the historic Cactus Cafe.
Darlin' play the Cactus Cafe on Wednesday, July 29, their first Texas show since they started playing together. The duo consists of singer-songwriters Chloe Byars and Sarah Royse, one from Texas and one from Oklahoma. They're a country act built on honest storytelling and the chemistry between the two of them, and this is the first time they're bringing that back home to Austin.
Their path to this show is a bit of a long way around. Byars and Royse first met in a small college town, but they didn't start making music together until years later when they reconnected in New York City. That friendship eventually grew into a musical partnership, and they've been working as a duo since 2025. In a short time, they've gone from opening for other acts to headlining some of the city's better-known venues, and they've become regulars at every honky tonk they can find. Right now, they're recording their debut tracks with industry professionals, so this show comes while they're still in the middle of putting their first record together.
