Concert by cellist and singer-songwriter Dan Radin, presenting his solo album 'Romance for Antiheroes'.
Dan Radin plays PLATE By Dzintra on Tuesday, October 13, at 6 PM. It's a solo set presented by the venue, and it's one of the first times you'll see him out front rather than as part of someone else's band.
Radin has been a fixture in the Austin scene since he moved here in 2015, though you might recognize his work without knowing his name. He built his reputation as a session cellist, backing The Voice contestants, playing in bands that opened for Grammy and Tony winners, and performing at official SXSW showcases. For years, he's been the one in the background providing the strings for other people's songs.
This year, he stepped out as a singer-songwriter with his first solo album, Romance for Antiheroes. It's a record that blends folk rock and neoclassical sounds, and this show is a chance to hear those two worlds meet in person. The cello is still there, but now it shares the stage with his own voice and songwriting.

If you've only known him as a session player, this is the version of him that's actually his own. The show is at PLATE By Dzintra, 12823 Shops Pkwy, and it starts at 6 PM on Tuesday, October 13.
