A creative art workshop where participants make decorative coasters using alcohol inks on ceramic pieces, with all supplies provided.
Dougherty Arts Center is hosting DAC Nights: Pretty in Ink on Wednesday, September 16, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's part of their DAC Nights series, which is built around the idea of stepping behind the scenes and trying out a new creative skill in a relaxed setting. This particular session is a workshop where you make your own set of colorful coasters using alcohol inks on blank ceramic pieces.
If you've never worked with alcohol inks before, they're known for two things: bold, saturated hues and striking marbled effects. Because the ink flows and blends across the surface, you end up with those swirling, organic patterns that are hard to replicate any other way. You'll be guided through the process by DAC staff, and they provide all the supplies, so you don't need to bring anything with you. By the end of the two hours, you'll have a finished set of coasters to take home.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
