A family-friendly Living Streets event closing a street to cars for pedestrians, cyclists, live music, food trucks, and community activities.
Cyclovia ATX takes over a stretch of the Windsor Park neighborhood on Saturday, November 7, from 10 AM to 2 PM. The event is centered at the Windsor Park Branch of the Austin Public Library (5833 Westminster Dr), and the whole thing is free and open to the public.
The core of the day is simple: half a mile of street is closed to motorized vehicles, opening it up for pedestrians and cyclists. From there, it builds into a full-on festival of human-powered transportation. There's a bike parade, live music, and food trucks, alongside bicycling clinics, skateboarding, roller skating, yoga, performances, and ultimate frisbee. It's a family-friendly day, and nothing is for sale—every Activation Partner provides their products, services, and activities 100% free.
Beyond the activities, the day includes a community food drive and the Everybody Eats Community Picnic, with a raffle drawing at noon. The event is produced by the Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, which frames it as a celebration of mobility, sustainability, and community that goes beyond just bicycling. It's held in partnership with Get There ATX and the Windsor Park Neighborhood Association, and the Red Line Parkway Initiative joins in to promote the Parkway.

People who have been describe biking as a way to feel alive and connected to their surroundings, and that's exactly what this is about—taking the street back for a few hours and filling it with people moving on their own power. It runs from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, November 7, at the Windsor Park Branch of the Austin Public Library, and it's free for everyone.
