Monthly creative writing workshop hosted by Jonathan Ezemba at RichesArt Gallery, open to all writers; BYOB and pay-what-you-can.
Creative Composition returns to RichesArt Gallery on Tuesday, August 11, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. It's the monthly creative writing workshop presented by Rhythms and Poetry, and this session is hosted and facilitated by Jonathan 'Jay Writes' Ezemba.
The workshop is built for writers of all levels and for those who value expression over perfection. It opens with poetic prompts and then lets the words flow freely from there. The form doesn't matter: you can write poetry, journal, craft lyrics, or build fiction. Collaboration sits at the heart of the evening, with an emphasis on sharing, dialogue, and constructive feedback.
RichesArt Gallery bills itself as Austin's only Black-owned art gallery, and it's where Creative Composition meets on the second Tuesday of each month. If you've been looking for a regular spot to get some writing done around other people, this is it.
