Create in the Park

Create in the Park is back at the Tudor Cottage at Pease Park on Sunday, August 2, from 2 PM to 5 PM. It's part of a recurring series that happens every first Sunday of the month, so if you miss this one, there's another coming soon.

The setup is pretty straightforward: local professional artists gather at the cottage to create a space where creativity and movement are shared freely with the community, and it's open to the whole family. You can paint pictures, put together vision boards, design bracelets, and move your body in playful ways, and there's face painting in the mix too. The sessions are run by volunteers, so it's a community-led thing rather than a formal class.

The park setting does a lot of the heavy lifting here. Being out in Pease Park adds a relaxed, open-air feel to the whole afternoon, and the group has recently made the Tudor Cottage its new home. It's a good spot to spend a few hours if you're looking for something low-pressure to do with kids or just want to make something without worrying about the result.
