Mobile Loaves & Fishes presents an outdoor community cinema screening of 'The Sheep Detectives' at Community First! Village, with a guided tour of the Village before the film.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes is bringing two outdoor movie nights to the Community Cinema & Amphitheater this month, with screenings on Friday, September 4, and Friday, September 11. The first is The Sheep Detectives on the 4th, and the second is Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu on the 11th. Both run from 7 PM to 10 PM, and admission is free.
The venue is part of Community First! Village, a 51-acre home in northeast Travis County run by Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a 501(c)(3) public charity that has served Central Texas since 1998. The Village currently houses more than 370 formerly homeless neighbors, with plans to grow to just over 500, and residents earn a dignified income through Community Works and other micro-enterprise opportunities. The screenings are presented in partnership with Austin's Alamo Drafthouse, and concession sales go directly to the neighbors working the event.

Most public screenings include a guided tour of the Village before the film, and the movies begin at full dark, usually about an hour after the listed start time. The cinema is an outdoor venue set in the countryside of the Village, located at 9301 Hog Eye Road, Austin, TX 78724. Both nights are free, and the concession sales go to the neighbors working the event.
