Alternative rock band Common People perform at Zilker Park as part of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Common People play Zilker Park on Saturday, October 10, as part of Austin City Limits Music Festival - Weekend Two. They're an LA alternative rock band fronted by Winegardner, Cadden, Ulich, Thomson and Belzer, and they've spent the last few years building a name for themselves out of the West Coast. The set is their own, with the five of them taking the stage together.
There's a bit of a story behind how they got here. The band was discovered by Brad Shultz of Cage the Elephant, who helped them land a deal with Parallel Vision and Big Loud Rock. That connection put them on the map, and they've been playing their way across the country ever since. This stop at Zilker is one of those dates that puts them in front of a festival crowd rather than a club room, and it's part of the second weekend of ACL, so they'll be playing while the park is in full swing.

If you're not familiar with them, they're an alternative rock outfit from Los Angeles, and the five of them—Winegardner, Cadden, Ulich, Thomson and Belzer—are the core of the sound. They've been touring as a unit, and this is their turn on the ACL bill. The performance is scheduled for 12 PM on Saturday, October 10, so it's a midday set rather than a late-night one. Tickets are $241.
