Austin indie pop/rock concert with Cheetah Chic, Deuce Bennett and the Tight Five supporting HAAM Day.
Christine Renner plays the YETI Flagship on Tuesday, September 22, as part of HAAM Day. It's a free show, and she's not the only one on the bill: Cheetah Chic takes the stage at 6 PM, and Deuce Bennett and the Tight Five follow at 7 PM. The whole thing kicks off at 5 PM, so there's a good stretch of music to work through.
Renner is an Austin-based indie pop/rock artist who pairs raw, poetic lyrics with bold, anthemic sounds. She describes her music as feeling like a journal entry—nostalgic yet healing—and draws from the classic rock, pop, and soul of the 1960s through the 1990s, played with a modern touch. If you're into indie pop that doesn't shy away from a big sound, she's right in that wheelhouse.
The show is part of HAAM Day, which supports the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. HAAM is the non-profit that provides health care and emergency financial assistance to local musicians, so the night is as much about the cause as the music. It's a good chance to see some local acts and support the community they're a part of.
