Chinese Football ft. Fine ! I guess. (EP Release), Drunk Uncle

Chinese Football play the Hotel Vegas patio on Thursday, October 15, with Fine ! I guess. and Drunk Uncle opening. It's an outdoor show at 1502 E 6th St, doors open at 6 PM.

Chinese Football started in Wuhan, and they describe their sound as blending the noisy legacy and resonant echoes of 1990s indie rock into something simple yet intricate, smooth yet raw, telling stories of passion, imagination and defeat. They've been a staple of live houses and major festivals across China since their self-titled debut in 2015. Two mini-albums inspired by the 'game of life' followed: Here comes a new challenger! in 2017 and Continue? in 2019, with the full-length Win & Lose in late 2022 completing the 'Game Trilogy'.

They've spent the last few years pushing beyond Asia. In 2023, after a three-year delay, they toured Europe for 35 days and 22 shows, including the UK's ArcTanGent festival. 2024 brought a new 'Scenery' world tour with 40 shows across China and their first North American tour, where 12 dates sold out ten times, along with live sessions for Audiotree and KEXP. They've described their goal as 'break out of Asia, go global.'

Fine ! I guess. is also on the bill, and this is an EP release show for them, so they'll be playing new material. Drunk Uncle opens the night. Tickets are $22 in advance, and the whole thing runs from 6 PM to 10 PM.
