Chicago and Styx team up for their first-ever co-headlining tour, 'The Windy Cities Tour', performing their greatest hits at the Moody Center.
Chicago and Styx are playing together at the Moody Center on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. It's a co-headlining bill, so you get both bands on the same night rather than one opening for the other.
The tour is called The Windy Cities Tour – All The Hits…Your Kind of Tour, and the name points to the one thing the two bands share: they both got their start in Chicago. Chicago formed there in 1967 and has since put out 38 albums and sold more than 100 million records, making it one of the longest-running and best-selling groups of all time. They picked up a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020, were named the highest-charting American band in Billboard's Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, and have earned 49 gold and platinum awards. Styx is a longtime American rock group known for singles like "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," and "Babe," and for high-energy, theatrically influenced performances that have spanned several decades.
This is their first-ever co-headlining tour. It kicks off on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and runs through September 6, when it wraps in Los Angeles, California. The Austin date falls about a month into the run. The Moody Center is a multi-purpose arena on the University of Texas at Austin campus that hosts major touring acts and large-scale concerts.
