Bubba Dub

Bubba Dub is headlining Capitol City Comedy Club on Sunday, September 20. If you've spent any time on YouTube, you probably recognize the name from the Snitching on Rogers skits, which are where he built his following. That's the same act coming to Austin: stand-up comedy from the man behind the characters.

Bubba Dub is the stage name of Jerry Morgan. He first made a name for himself on YouTube with Snitching on Rogers and a handful of other recurring storylines, the kind of character-driven comedy that builds a following one video at a time. On stage, he leans into foul language and explicitly adult subject matter, and he traces that style back to two things: his East Texas upbringing and the world of social media comics. It's the same unfiltered approach that worked in the skits, just shifted to a live room.

If you're not familiar with the YouTube stuff, it's worth knowing that the Snitching on Rogers series is what put him on the map. The show at Capitol City is a stand-up set, so it's a different format than the skits, but it comes from the same place. It's a night of comedy from a comic who grew up in East Texas and found his audience online.

The club is Capitol City Comedy Club, located in Bldg B at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace Unit 100, Austin, TX 78758. The show is on Sunday, September 20.
