Jazz saxophonist Bria Skonberg performs live at the Moody Amphitheater as part of the inaugural ATX Jazz Fest.
Bria Skonberg plays the Moody Amphitheater on Saturday, April 3, 2027, as part of the first ATX Jazz Fest. It's the inaugural edition of a new festival from ATX Chamber Music and Jazz, the organization behind the 2026-2027 season and its own chamber music collective, Ensemble ATX.
Co-artistic directors Geoffrey Herd and Anna Petrova describe the festival as the most concentrated gathering of jazz talent ever assembled in Texas, with more than 29 hours of live music spread across three days and multiple stages. The weekend opens Friday with an exclusive 300-seat VIP night at Assembly Hall, and the main stage at Moody Amphitheater takes over on Saturday and Sunday. Late-night jam sessions and local Austin food vendors round out the weekend.
There's a community side to the festival, too: the organizers donate 10% of seating to children and their chaperones, and their artists regularly play for free in schools, youth clubs, and retirement homes. Bria Skonberg is the confirmed act for the Saturday bill at the amphitheater.
