Brewtoberfest

The Brewtorium is throwing its annual Brewtoberfest on Saturday, September 26, from 12 PM to 8 PM. It's their big house party of the year, held in the air-conditioned beer hall, and it's free and all ages, so you can bring the kids along.

The day is built around German-style beer and food. The taps will be full of house-brewed German lagers, including Brewtoberfest Märzen, Pumpkin Spice Märzen, Dr. Doctor German Pilsner, Just Add Polka Festbier, Schwarzengiggles Schwarzbier, Electric Lederhosen Vienna Lager, Das Daydrinker Munich Helles, and Kwik-E Kölsch. The kitchen will be running German food specials throughout the day, and Celtic Axe has walk-in axe throwing on site if you want to step away from the table for a bit.

There's a schedule to the afternoon. Pivo & Polka play live polka at 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM, the Oktoberfest Olympic Games start at 2 PM, and the Stein Hoisting Competition kicks off at 4:30 PM with separate brackets for men, women, and kids. If you're coming with a group, the games and the hoisting are the parts that get people moving.

For a bit of context, The Brewtorium is a locally owned, family-friendly brewpub that brews everything on site in a 15-barrel brewhouse. German-style lagers are their main focus, though they also keep a rotating selection of IPAs, ales, fruited beers, and sours, plus wine, mead, and non-alcoholic options. The kitchen serves made-from-scratch comfort food, and the venue hosts a wide range of events—trivia nights, drag brunches, artisan markets, and beer releases—so this is one of many things they do.
