Heavy rock power trio Borracho performs at Sagebrush as part of the Ripplefest Texas Pre-Party.
Borracho are playing Sagebrush on Thursday, September 17, as part of the Ripplefest Texas Pre-Party. It's a Ripple Music label showcase that kicks off the 2026 Ripplefest Texas festivities, and Borracho headlines the bill with Zed and more joining them.
Borracho is a veteran heavy rock power trio from Washington, D.C., fronted by Tim on bass, Steve on lead guitar and vocals, and Mario on drums. They've been a staple of the stoner and doom scenes for over fifteen years, with a discography that goes back to their 2011 debut Splitting Sky. That was followed by Oculus in 2013 and Atacama in 2016, both released through Kozmik Artifactz. In 2017 they put out the Riffography compilation with Ripple Music, and in 2021 came Pound of Flesh, which they describe as politically charged.
Their fifth album, Blurring the Lines of Reality, came out in 2023 and reached number six on the year-end Doom Charts. They followed that with Ouroboros in 2025, so they're coming into this show with two relatively recent records behind them. Over the years they've played Desertfest London, Maryland Doomfest, and Planet Desert Rock, so they're used to the festival circuit.
