The night has become a South Austin Monday-night institution, and The Bluegrass Outfit is the group that's kept it going: they're a loose association of Austin bluegrass pickers who've been playing the venue every Monday for 14 years and counting.
Radio Coffee & Beer is a neighborhood spot in South Austin at 4204 Menchaca Rd., serving specialty coffee, craft beer, and live music, with a laid-back patio, food trucks, and a welcoming community vibe. It's one of several Radio Coffee & Beer locations, alongside the original Radio South at Hwy 290 & Menchaca, which has kept an Old Austin vibe alive since 2014, and Radio Rosewood and Radio East on the east side—the latter home to the chain's biggest outdoor stage. The shop has been voted Austin's Best Coffee Shop ten years in a row.
