A holiday shopping experience with over 200 regional artists selling handmade items, jewellery, artwork and home goods.
Blue Genie Art Bazaar returns to 6100 Airport Blvd. on November 13, running through December 24. It's a fixture of the Austin holiday season, open every year from Black Friday through Christmas Eve, and this year it's back for its 26th annual market.
Inside, you'll find thousands of handmade items from more than 200 local and regional artists. The variety is wide—jewelry, artwork, home goods, and gifts—so it's the kind of place where you can knock out a few different lists in one trip. A portion of the proceeds goes to Make-A-Wish, and the whole thing is family-friendly, so it works as a solo shopping trip or a weekend outing with kids in tow.
Logistically, it's easy to get to. The bazaar is wheelchair accessible and reachable by CapMetro bus and MetroRail, which is handy if you're coming from across town. Admission and parking are free, so there's no cost to just walk in and browse.

It runs from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, and they're open on Thanksgiving Day, too. With that window, you can swing by during a lunch break or head over late in the evening when it's quieter. It stays open through December 24, so you've got plenty of time to pick through the booths before the holiday deadline.
