Exhibition of prints by over 20 artists with a new launch by Todd Slater at Ao5 Gallery.
Ao5 Gallery opens Bits & Pieces on Saturday, August 15, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It's a print exhibition featuring more than 20 artists, with a new release from Todd Slater as the main draw. The show stays up through August 29, so if you can't make the opening night, you've still got a couple of weeks to catch it.
Ao5 is Austin's largest contemporary art gallery, and it's been bringing accessible fine art to the city for more than 20 years. It opened on West 5th Street in 1998 and now occupies a 7,000-square-foot space that has shown work by over 100 contemporary artists, original and vintage posters from around the world, and runs a premier custom framing department. The name Ao5 is a contemporary update that nods to the gallery's south Austin style while paying homage to its 5th Street roots; the space also claims the largest Secret Art of Dr. Seuss collection in the nation.

Gallery Director Todd Gresley has more than 15 years of experience and has hung pieces by modern masters like Salvador Dalí and Andy Warhol alongside contemporary artists such as Gabe Leonard and Adam Scott Rote, as well as Austin street artists Jason Eatherly and The Impossible Winterbourne. Bits & Pieces continues that mix, bringing together work from over two dozen artists under one roof, with Slater's new release taking center stage. Admission is free, and the opening runs from 7 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, August 15, at Ao5 Gallery, 10000 Research #118, Austin North.
