Best in Austin Comedy takes over Rozco's Comedy Club on Thursday, July 23, for a night of stand-up featuring some of the city's favorite comedians. It's a local showcase, so you'll see Austin's own rather than a touring headliner. Rozco's is at 1805 E 7th St, right in the East Side, and it's a room that does both local talent and touring acts, so this fits right into what they do.
Before you head out, there are a few house rules to keep in mind. It's an 18-and-up show, and there's a two-drink minimum, so you'll want to budget for a couple of drinks on top of your ticket. The club is pretty strict about the atmosphere: no videoing or recording is allowed, and they ask that you don't talk or heckle during the sets. Also, backpacks aren't permitted inside, so leave yours in the car if you've got one. When you buy your tickets, they're emailed to you digitally, and they don't include the cost of alcohol.
