Austin Resistance Choir concert at Batch Craft Beer + Kolaches.
Austin Resistance Choir plays Batch Craft Beer + Kolaches on Monday, July 20, at 7 PM. It's a free show, so you can just walk in and listen without worrying about a ticket.
If you haven't spent much time there, Batch is a bit of a hybrid. It's a bar, a coffee house, and a bakery all in one, and it's known for Texas-Czech pastries—both savory and sweet. They do kolaches with some pretty specific fillings: peanut butter and jelly, Micklethwait brisket, and pickle and Swiss. There's also a full beer and coffee selection, so you can grab a drink or something to eat before the music starts. It's the kind of place that works as well for a mid-afternoon coffee as it does for a night out, and it hosts live music and performance on top of the food and drinks. Back in 2017, the Austin Chronicle named it Best Place to Carb Load, which gives you a good sense of what they're about.

The choir takes the stage at 7 PM, and since the show is free, it's an easy one to drop into on a Monday evening. Batch is over on Manor Road in East Austin, so it's a short trip from downtown. Between the kolaches and the beer, you've got plenty of options to snack on while you're there.
