Austin PBS Community Day with special flavors, a limited-edition burger, story time, crafts, and games for families.
Austin PBS is hosting its Community Day on Thursday, August 6, at Amy's Ice Creams & Phil's Ice House - Burnet. It's a day built for families, with the whole thing centered around the PBS station and its presence in the city.
On the food side, the two venues are teaming up on some one-day specials. Amy's is rolling out special flavors for the occasion, and Phil's is serving up a limited-edition burger. If you're heading over, it's worth getting there early enough to catch those before they run out.
Beyond the menu, there's a full slate of activities for kids and families to work through. There's story time, crafts, and games running throughout the day, so it's the kind of thing you can drop into with the little ones and let them hang out for a while. Between the ice cream, the burger, and the activities, it's a pretty easy way to spend a Thursday afternoon in Austin.
