Community cookie festival with home bakers, live music, kids' activities and a cookie competition, presented by The Cookie Museum.
The Cookie Museum is bringing the inaugural Austin Cookie Fest to SPACE512 on Sunday, October 4, from 11 AM to 3 PM. It's a community cookie festival that gathers the city's best home and cottage bakers for an afternoon of original cookies, live music and kids' activities.
The main draw is the tasting. Bakers offer free samples alongside cookies for purchase, and you'll spend the afternoon working your way through them. After you've had your fill, you get to cast your vote for People's Choice in two categories: Best Signature Cookie and Best Chocolate Chip. A panel of professional bakers and special guests handles the Judges' Choice, and the winners are announced at the closing ceremony, which is followed by free prize drawings. To wash it all down, there's a milk and coffee bar running throughout the event.
There's a bit more to this than just the cookies. The closing ceremony also serves as the official opening of The Cookie Museum itself, so you're catching two things at once. If you want to get involved before the day, there's an optional RSVP that enters you into a giveaway. The prizes include a cookie box with the signature cookie from every baker and a cookie decorating class for two.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
