Austin Action Fest takes over Galaxy Highland 10 from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16. It's a film festival that celebrates stunt work on screen, and it's presented as part of the Austin Film Society's calendar of film events. The whole weekend is built around the physical side of filmmaking—the fights, the falls, and the people who actually do them.

The festival runs at Galaxy Highland 10, 6700 Middle Fiskville, in Midtown. One thing to keep in mind if you're bringing younger viewers: no one under 18 is allowed in the theater on Friday or Saturday after 7 PM without an adult.
