Free indoor Latinx art market featuring crafts, mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes and craft workshops.
Artisan Mercado & Latinx Cultural Crafts is back at 506 Congress Ave this Saturday, August 29, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's an indoor Latinx art market, and if you've missed it before, it's part of a regular run that happens on the first and third Saturday of the month from May through December.
The market is the anchor, but there's a lot more going on around it. Artists, musicians, writers, and craftspersons use the space for mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes, and craft workshops. You'll also find poetry readings, history and culture presentations, and art exhibits. It's not just a place to browse; it's a spot where you can actually watch people working and hear them talk about what they're making.
Because it's an indoor market, it's a good way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon without worrying about the weather. The mix changes from one session to the next, so if you've been before, there's usually something new to see. It's a steady presence in the city throughout the second half of the year, so if you can't make this one, you'll have another chance in a couple of weeks.

Entry to the market is free, and the workshops and cultural events are free too. If a workshop requires materials, there's a $5 fee for those. It runs from 10 AM to 5 PM at 506 Congress Ave.
