An indoor Latinx art market featuring artists, musicians, writers and craftspersons, with mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes and craft workshops.
Artisan Mercado & Latinx Cultural Crafts is back at 506 Congress Ave on Saturday, August 22, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's an indoor Latinx art market that runs on the first and third Saturday of the month from May through December, with artists, musicians, writers and craftspersons filling the space. If you've missed it before, this is one of those recurring things that gives you a few chances to catch it over the course of the year rather than just one weekend.
Beyond the market stalls, the program adds mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes and craft workshops. Poetry readings, history and culture talks and art exhibits run alongside, so you can spend the morning browsing and the afternoon listening or learning. It's set up so you can pick your own pace—you might stop for a coffee and a quick look, or hang around for a few hours and work your way through the different parts of the day.

Because it's a recurring event, it's easy to fit in when your schedule allows. It runs every first and third Saturday from May through December, so if you can't make this one, there's another coming soon. The market is indoors at 506 Congress Ave, and it stays open from 10 AM to 5 PM. Entry is free, though some of the workshops cost $5 if materials are required.
