Indoor Latinx art market featuring mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes, and craft workshops.
Artisan Mercado & Latinx Cultural Crafts is back at 506 Congress Ave on Saturday, August 1, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's an indoor Latinx art market that brings together artists, musicians, writers, and craftspersons under one roof, and it's part of a regular run that goes through the end of the year.
The market is the main draw, but there's a whole other layer that kicks in around midday. From 12 PM to 2 PM, the space fills up with mini concerts, cultural presentations, art classes, and craft workshops. You can spend the morning browsing the stalls and then stick around for the live stuff. The presentations and workshops are where you'll find the poetry readings, history and culture talks, and art exhibits that give the whole thing its Latinx focus.
If you're more of a doer than a watcher, the art classes and craft workshops are the place to be. They run alongside the presentations, so you can move between listening to a talk and actually making something. It's a good way to spend a Saturday morning and early afternoon without having to scramble between different spots across town.

One thing that's worth knowing: the Artisan Mercado isn't a one-off. It runs the first and third Saturday of the month from May through December 2026, so if you miss this one, there's another coming soon. Admission is free, and the workshops only cost $5 if materials are required. The market runs 10 AM to 5 PM, with the workshops and cultural events concentrated between 12 PM and 2 PM.
