Inclusive art series where kids and adults create nature-inspired art projects outdoors with Painting Pandas.
Art in the Park is back at Springwoods Park on Saturday, October 17, from 10 AM to 11 AM. It's part of an inclusive art series designed to get people's creative juices flowing, with activities for both kids and adults. Each session pairs nature-inspired art projects with Painting Pandas, and participants create their work outdoors.
The format is pretty straightforward: you're working outside in the park, and the projects are built around the nature right in front of you. Because it's set up for both kids and adults, it's the kind of thing you can do with your own family or just show up to on your own. The focus is on the process of making rather than the finished piece, so it works whether you've spent your life painting or you haven't touched a brush since elementary school.
Painting Pandas is the organization behind the series, and they're the ones leading the sessions. The whole point of the series is to get people creating outdoors, and this particular session is one of the dates they've got on the calendar. If you're looking for something to do on a Saturday morning that gets you out of the house and into the fresh air, this is a good bet.
