A brunch for volunteers, donors and advocates to network and take collective action for children and families.
Any Baby Can is hosting Big Hearts, Bright Futures, a brunch for volunteers, donors and advocates, on Friday, October 2, at the City of Austin Permitting and Development Center. It's a morning of networking and collective action on behalf of the community's littlest members, and it's free to attend.
Any Baby Can describes the brunch as being for busy, socially-minded people who want their giving to make a tangible difference. The morning brings together the different groups that keep their work moving—the volunteers who give their time, the donors who provide the funding, and the advocates who speak up for children and families—and gives them a chance to connect in person. The focus is on taking collective action for the city's youngest children and the families who care for them.
If you've been looking for a way to get involved with a local organization that works with children and families, this is a good place to start. You'll be in a room with people who are already doing that work, and the brunch format keeps it casual enough to just show up and see where you fit in. It's less about a formal presentation and more about meeting the people behind the mission and figuring out how to help together.
