Groovy music session featuring All My(eux) Groovy Friends, Sentimental Family Band, and Libby & the Loveless at The White Horse.
All My(eux) Groovy Friends are playing The White Horse on Sunday, August 16, with Sentimental Family Band and Libby & the Loveless joining them on the bill. It's a three-band lineup on a Sunday afternoon, so you can catch the whole run without staying out half the night.
If you're not familiar with the venue, The White Horse is at 500 Comal Street in East Austin. It opened in December 2011, run by Nathan Hill and Denis O'Donnell, who brought over the honky-tonk style they'd developed managing the Hole in the Wall. That approach helped expand the Eastside music scene, and the place went on to break modern outlaw country acts like Mike & the Moonpies and Leo Rondeau. The stage is set low, and the dance floor usually fills up with a multi-generational crowd—the kind of room that reflects Austin's long-standing ethos. Sundays there have long belonged to Eastside institution Conjunto Los Pinkys, so this is a bit of a departure from the usual Sunday afternoon routine.

On the bill, All My(eux) Groovy Friends headline, with Sentimental Family Band and Libby & the Loveless opening. It's a full afternoon of music rather than a single act, so you'll get three different sets in one go. The show starts at 6 PM, and the venue is at 500 Comal Street.
